The Amount of Vitamin B in Whole Foods Supplements

In January 2018, a false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against Whole Foods for allegedly misrepresenting the amount of vitamin B in its 365 Everyday Value brand supplements, Liquid Energy Shot, Liquid Vitamin B12, and Super B12 Complex. According to the complaint, the supplements are advertised as containing 500 to 1,000 micrograms of B12 per serving when scientific testing shows that the amount of B12 in the supplements “far exceed[s]” the advertised amount.
