In October 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Blue Diamond Growers for allegedly misleadingly marketing that the sole flavoring ingredient in Almond Breeze Almond Coconut Blend is vanilla when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredients list shows that the beverage contains unspecified “Natural Flavors.” Plaintiffs also claim that the vanilla flavor comes from artificial ingredients and the amount of vanilla in the product is, at most, de minimis.
