June 2016: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Mondelez International for allegedly deceptively packaging Sour Patch Watermelon candy. Specifically, the complaint alleges that the company uses a non-transparent cardboard boxes with 44% empty space (in other words, the box has the capacity to hold at least 50 pieces of candy but contains only 28 pieces of candy).
