February 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Schiff Nutrition International over its marketing of Move Free®, a line of glucosamine and chondroitin-based dietary supplements. The complaint alleges that the company markets the line of supplements as improving joint health and flexibility and being “scientifically formulated to help ease discomfort” without the necessary scientific evidence to support such claims. (Mitchell v. Schiff Nutrition International, Inc. et al., Case No. 14-cv-00387, S.D. CA.)
