Allegations: Misleadingly marketing products as “eyeshadow” when it’s not safe to use around the eyes
In October 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against HB USA Holdings for allegedly deceptively marketing Huda Beauty Neon Obsessions as eyeshadows when, according to plaintiffs, the products contain color additives that the FDA has not approved for use near the eyes. (Linarte et al v. HB USA Holdings Inc., Case No. 20-cv-9748, C.D. Cal.)
