Allegations: Misleadingly marketing products as butter popcorn
In August 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Wise Foods alleging that the front label of Wise Cheddar & Sour Cream Ridgies Potato Chips fails to inform consumers that the chips contain artificial flavors that simulate the characterizing flavor. (Wallace et al v. Wise Foods, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-6831, S.D.N.Y.)
