In January 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Shop-Rite Supermarkets for allegedly falsely advertising that vanilla is the exclusive flavoring ingredient in Wholesome Pantry Vanilla Soymilk when, according to the complaint, the ingredients list shows that the beverage also contains “natural flavors.” (Twohig et al v. Shop-Rite Supermarkets, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-763, S.D.NY.)
