In June 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Smitty’s Supply and Rural King for allegedly misleadingly marketing tractor hydraulic fluids – including Cam2 Pro Tech 303 Tractor Hydraulic Oil and Super S SuperTrac 303 Tractor Hydraulic Fluid – as meeting 303 manufacturer specifications when, according to the complaint, the 303 specification is obsolete and has not been available for more than 40 years. Plaintiffs also claim that the companies falsely advertise that the fluids will provide anti-wear and protective benefits when, according to the complaint, the fluids do not provide the anti-wear and protective advertised benefits.
