July 2015: This action was voluntarily dismissed When a complaint is dismissed with prejudice, it cannot be refiled. as to the named plaintiff and When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled. as to the class members. The reasons for the dismissal have not been disclosed.
June 2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against U.S. Airways for allegedly misrepresenting the price of airline tickets. Among other things, the complaint alleges that the airline induces consumers to attempt to purchase airline tickets by advertising tickets at a lower price than the airline would actually sell them. (Hoffman et al v. U.S. Airways, Inc., Case No. 15-cv-01214, S. D. CA.)
