In October 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against JetBlue Airways for allegedly deceptively marketing travel insurance from a third-party insurer Allianz without disclosing that the airline has a financial interest in the travel insurance and receives an illegal kickback from the insurer. (O’Kane et al v. JetBlue Airways Corp., Case No. 19-cv-9662, S.D.N.Y.)
