Allegations: Falsely marketing products as “mozzarella sticks” when they are made with cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella cheese
In December 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Inventure Foods for allegedly misleadingly marketing that TGIFridays Mozzarella Sticks contain mozzarella cheese when, according to the complaint, the ingredients list shows that the product is made with cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella cheese. (Nason et al v. Inventure Foods, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-10141, S.D.N.Y.)
