December 2017: A class-action lawsuit was filed against TD Bank for allegedly misleadingly representing that the bank will decline non-recurring debit card transactions for customers who do not opt into its Debit Card Advance Program and will not charge them overdraft fees on such transactions when, according to the plaintiffs, the bank does not decline non-recurring transactions for ride-sharing apps – including Uber and Lyft – and charges customers overdraft fees on such transactions.
