Subscriptions to The Columbus Dispatch

September 2019: This case was transferred from state court to federal court. (Case No. 19-cv-4262, S.D. Ohio)

August 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against GateHouse Media for allegedly misleadingly advertising specific prices for fixed-length subscriptions to The Columbus Dispatch when, according to plaintiffs, subscribers don’t get the newspaper for the advertised length of time because the company actually sends them “premium” editions, which cost more and shortens the length of time they get subscriptions. (Ewalt et al v. GateHouse Media Ohio Holdings II, Inc. d/b/a The Columbus Dispatch, Case No. 19CV-08-6859, Ohio State Court – Franklin County Court of Common Pleas)
