April 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Sinemia Inc. for allegedly misleadingly advertising subscriptions for discounted movie theater tickets for a specific period of time when, according to plaintiffs, the company ends subscriptions before the advertised length of the subscription has passed and does not provide these terminated subscribers with refunds.
