In June 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Trans-India Products for allegedly falsely marketing Shikai products – including shampoos, conditioners, lotions, creams, and facial cleaners – as natural when, according to the complaint, they have synthetic ingredients. (Turner et al v. Trans-India Products, Inc. d/b/a Shikai Products, Case No. 19-cv-3422, E. D. NY.)
