In October 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Avrio Health for allegedly misleadingly marketing Senokot laxatives and dietary supplements as natural when, according to plaintiffs, the products contain synthetic ingredients. (Tarantino et al v. Avrio Health, Case No. 20-cv-5220, E.D.N.Y.)
