In July 2015, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Salomon North America for allegedly deceptively marketing Salomon Speedcross 3 CS shoes as waterproof (i.e., prevents water from entering) when, in reality, only the area near the toes is waterproof and the rest of the shoe is only water resistant (i.e., designed to resist but not prevent water from entering).
