Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Dog Food
January 2018: This case was stayed pending the California Department of Public Health’s determination of whether it will begin rulemaking proceedings regarding the use of the word “natural” in pet food labeling.
February 2017: A class-action lawsuit was filed alleging that Ainsworth Pet Nutrition falsely markets Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® dog foods as “natural” when, according to plaintiffs, they actually contain chemical, artificial, and synthetic ingredients. (An amended complaint was filed in October 2017.) (Grimm et al v. APN, Inc. et al, Case No. 17-cv-356, C. D. CA.)
