In October 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Cooperative Regions of Organic Producer Pools for allegedly misleadingly marketing that vanilla is the flavoring ingredient in its Organic Valley Fuel High Protein Milk Shake when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredients list reveals that the product also contains unspecified “Organic Flavor.” (Collishaw et al v. Cooperative Regions of Organic Producer Pools, Case No. 20-cv-9009, S.D.N.Y.)
