Hershey’s Organic Chocolate Bars
Allegations: Falsely marketing that products are made from ethically sourced and sustainable cocoa
In January 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against One Brands and The Hershey Company alleging that its ONE protein bars – including the Birthday Cake flavor – contain more sugar and cholesterol and less dietary fiber than represented on the labels. Specifically, the complaint claims that the bars contain 1 gram of sugar, 5 milligrams of cholesterol, and 9 grams of dietary fiber when, according to the complaint, the products contain 1.4 grams of sugar, 9.8 milligrams of cholesterol, and .36 grams of dietary fiber.
