Consumer tips worth remembering.
A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against New Jersey Auto Auction for, among other things, allegedly deceptively selling vehicles at a higher price than the one advertised, in violation of New Jersey law. The lawsuit was originally filed in state court in December 2015 and transferred to federal court in January 2016. (Labidou et al v. Fleet Lease Network, Inc. d/b/a New Jersey Auto Auction et al, Case No. 16-cv-502, D. NJ.)
