Memberships to Experian and Consumerinfo.com

In June 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Experian Information Solutions and Consumerinfo.com for allegedly misleadingly marketing memberships for their services for credit reports and FICO scores. Specifically, the plaintiffs claim that the companies represent that members can cancel their memberships to the $1 seven-day trial or the $29.95 monthly membership at “anytime” when, according to the complaint, consumers need to call a toll-free number to cancel, are placed on hold for hours, and sometimes never get to speak to a person to cancel their membership. (Tadic et al v. Experian Information Solutions, Inc. and Consumerinfo.com, Inc., Case No. 18-cv-2911, N. D. GA.)
