Mazda’s Traffic Software

In April 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Mazda for allegedly deceptively marketing the Traffic Software in its 2016 model vehicles. The complaint alleges that the Traffic Software (which was offered as part of an add-on tech package called Grand Touring Package) provides drivers with real-time traffic alerts and alternative routes in the event of road closures and heavy traffic when, according to the complaint, drivers were unable to access the software as of early 2016. (Lewand et al v. Mazda Motor of America, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-620, C. D. CA.)
