In June 2015, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company for allegedly falsely advertising MassMutual Odyssey: A Fixed Annuity Product as providing a Minimum Guaranteed Interest Rate of 3% when, in reality, the company paid a lower interest rate than the one promised.
