This case was administratively closed because Haley was named the lead case.
March 2016: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s for allegedly misleadingly advertising discounts by comparing discounted prices to false original prices. According to the complaint, the original prices are “artificially inflated to make the ‘sale’ or ‘discounted’ price appear more attractive to consumers.” (Benson et al v. Macy’s, Inc., Macy’s West Stores, Inc., and Bloomingdale’s, Inc., Case No. 16-cv-1252, N. D. CA.)
