Logitech Home Security Systems

In March 2018, a federal judge dismissed the false advertising claims in a class-action lawsuit filed against Logitech Inc. in 2017. The complaint alleges that Logitech deceptively represented that its high-definition digital video home security systems provided customers with comprehensive, reliable home security, and that the technology allowed them to view live video feeds from security cameras on computers, smartphones, and tablets when, according to plaintiffs, the systems were defective and unreliable. The Court dismissed the false advertising claims When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled. but allowed plaintiffs’ breach of warranty claims to proceed.
