December 2013: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Natrol Products, Inc. for allegedly deceptively marketing Laci Le Beau Super Dieter’s Tea as a weight loss tea. Specifically, plaintiffs claim the company advertises the tea will assist weight loss by reducing excess body fats and accumulated toxins when, according to the plaintiffs, it does not contain any weight loss ingredients or fat burners and its main ingredient, Cassia Anjustifolia, or Senna Leaves, can actually prevent weight loss. (Augustine et al v. Natrol Products, Inc., Case No. 13-cv003129, S. D. CA.).
