In May 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Kimlan Foods for allegedly deceptively marketing jarred preserved food products – including Kimlan Pickled Cucumber and Kimlan Chili Radish – as free of preservatives when, in reality, they contain citric acid, an ingredient regularly used as a preservative.
