Kimberly-Clark Flushable Wipes

April 2022: Plaintiffs moved for preliminary approval of a settlement agreement.

May 2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Kimberly-Clark Corporation for allegedly misleadingly marketing wipes – including Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Wipes & Cleansing Cloths, Scott Naturals Flushable Moist Wipes, and Scottex Fresh Wipes – as “flushable” when the wipes actually do not disintegrate when flushed and cause plumbing, sewer, and septic system problems, such as clogged toilets and pipes. (Honigman et al v. Kimberly-Clark Corp., Case No. 15-cv-2910, E.D.N.Y.)
