HomeAway
In September 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against HomeAway (a website providing rental property listings) for allegedly deceptively advertising that it provides 24/7 customer service, for which it charges a service fee, when, according to plaintiffs, the website does not offer 24/7 customer service as advertised. The lawsuit was originally filed in state court in September and transferred to federal court in November. (Meyer et al v. HomeAway.com, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-2243, S.D. Cal.)
