Allegations: Misleadingly advertising pricing discounts by comparing discounted prices to false reference prices
In August 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Home Deport for allegedly misleadingly marketing wood as being mahogany when, according to the complaint, the wood is actually other kinds of wood, such as eucalyptus. (Golden et al v. Home Depot U.S.A., Inc., Case No. 17-cv-1174, E. D. CA.)
