April 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Monat Global alleging that the company misleadingly advertises its haircare products by giving the impression that they will not cause damage to the hair or scalp because they are created from organic and all natural materials when, according to the plaintiffs, the haircare products may cause damage to the hair and scalp and may also cause balding. (Botallico et al v. Monat Global Corp., Case No. 37-2018-00016233, California Superio Court – San Diego County)
