January 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Gerber Life Insurance Company for allegedly deceptively marketing its “Grow-Up Plan” and “College Plan” as affordable ways for parents and grandparents to save money for children when, according to plaintiffs, these plans are actually life insurance policies and consumers who get them actually lose money.
