November 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed alleging that FYE stores do not adequately inform shoppers who sign up for “free” VIP memberships and magazine subscriptions about material terms of the offers, including that those who sign up will be automatically enrolled in paid memberships and subscriptions at the end of the free trial.
