January 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Additech, Inc. for allegedly falsely advertising that the fuel additives Fuel System Cleaner and Diesel Guard clean and prevent carbon buildup on an engine’s intake valve to provide various benefits – including “reduc[ing] emissions” and “increase[ing] mileage” – when, according to the complaint, the additives do not work as advertised in all vehicles.
