Frito-Lay Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips

A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against Frito-Lay. Specifically, the complaint alleges that the company falsely markets Salt and Vinegar Flavored Potato Chips as being natural and containing no artificial flavors when, according to plaintiffs, the chips contain artificial flavors. The lawsuit was filed in state court in May 2017 and transferred to federal court in July 2017. (Allred et al v. Frito-Lay North America, Inc. and Frito-Lay, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-1354, S. D. CA.)
