
French Vanilla Ice Cream from Lidl
In December 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Lidl US, LLC for allegedly misleadingly marketing that vanilla is the exclusive flavoring ingredient in its French Vanilla Ice Cream when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredient list shows that the ice cream contains “Natural Flavor” instead of vanilla. (Santiago et al v. Lidl US, LLC, Case No. 19-cv-7206, E. D. NY.)
