A class-action lawsuit was filed against First Choice Communications in September 2018 (and amended in November 2018) for allegedly falsely advertising that customers who sign up and pay for DirecTV television services receive Visa gift cards worth more than $100 and two years of NFL Sunday Ticket programming for free when, according to plaintiffs, these customers receive Visa gift cards worth $100 (and no more) and do not receive free NFL Sunday Ticket programming. (Carter et al v. First Choice Communications LLC, Case No. 18-cv-2645, E. D. CA.)
