September 2015: A federal judge granted final approval of a settlement agreement resolving this lawsuit. According to the settlement terms, class members may receive $17.50 for every ten square feet of tile they purchased. The company also agreed to provide all past and future purchasers an enhanced warranty for DuraCeramic Floor Tiles.

December 2013: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Congoleum Corporation for allegedly falsely advertising DuraCeramic floor tiles in various marketing materials such as its website, advertisements, and warranties. Among other things, plaintiffs claim that the company represents the floor tiles are versatile, durable, and easy to care for when, according to the complaint, the tiles actually are defective and will not function as promised. (Minor et al v. Congoleum Corporation, Case No. 13-cv-07727, D. NJ.).
