May 2016: A class-action lawsuit was filed against F. Gaviña & Sons, Inc. for allegedly deceptively marketing Don Francisco brand coffee. According to the complaint, the marketing for flavors of Don Francisco’s Gourmet Coffee – such as Vanilla Nut and Cinnamon Hazelnut – suggests that the coffee is flavored with natural ingredients without adequately disclosing that the coffees contain artificial flavoring.
