September 2016: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Kate Spade for allegedly falsely advertising discounts of merchandise sold at its outlet stores. In addition, the complaint claims that the merchandise sold at outlet stores was manufactured exclusively for the outlet stores and of inferior quality.
