March 2013: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Playtex Products, LLC for deceptively advertising its Diaper Genie II Elite diaper pail. The lawsuit alleges that the company promotes its diaper pail as proven superior in controlling odor when compared to other diaper disposal products, prominently stating “Proven #1 in Odor Control” without having any well-designed scientific studies to support this claim.
