In July 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against DeVry University for allegedly falsely advertising that 90% of its students actively seeking employment had careers in their fields within six months of graduation and its graduates earn 15% more one year after graduation than graduates of other schools when, according to the complaint, the employment rates of its graduates ranged from 20% to 50% for 2008-2014 and its graduates don’t earn more than the graduates of other schools.
