Class Action

Dannon Brand Vanilla Yogurts

April 2020: This case was dismissed because the parties reached a settlement agreement, the terms of which have not been disclosed.

December 2019: The claims against Danone North America were dismissed and Danone US was substituted as the defendant.

June 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Danone North America for allegedly falsely marketing its vanilla yogurts – including Dannon brand whole milk and low fat yogurts and Oikos Triple Zero Greek yogurts – as being flavored with “Vanilla with Other Natural Flavors” when, according to the complaint, the yogurts contain more vanillin (an artificial vanilla flavor) than true vanilla that comes from vanilla beans. (Andriulli et al v. Danone North America, LLC, Case No. 19-cv-5165, S.D.N.Y.)
