April 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Costa Del Mar for allegedly misrepresenting that its warranty promises to replace scratched lenses, frames, and other parts on sunglasses for a small fee when, according to the complaint, the company charges much higher fees plus shipping and handling fees. (Seaman et al v. Costa Del Mar, Inc., Case No. 19-cv-373, M.D. Fla.)
