2018: A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against Cameron’s Coffee and Distribution Company for allegedly misleadingly marketing its Cameron’s Coffee BetterBrew Eco Coffee Pods as being 100% compostable, environmentally friendly, and generating less waste when, according to the complaint, the pods are only compostable in commercial composting facilities. The lawsuit was originally filed in state court in January 2018 and transferred to federal court in February 2018. (Kelly et al v. Cameron’s Coffee and Distribution Company, Case No. 18-cv-146, W.D.
