Allegations: Falsely advertising supplements as providing brain health benefits
November 2015: After plaintiffs filed an amended complaint making similar allegations, this action was voluntarily dismissed. The reasons for the dismissal have not been disclosed.
September 2013: A class-action lawsuit was filed against several companies for allegedly misleadingly marketing various “homeopathic” B&T products in the Cough & Bronchial line. Among other things, plaintiffs claim that the company represents that its products – including Cough & Bronchial Syrup Daytime and Cough & Bronchial Syrup Nighttime – contain specific “active ingredients” when, in reality, these ingredients are so diluted that they do not provide any health benefits. In addition, the complaint alleges that the company misleadingly labels the products as “all natural” when they actually contain synthetic ingredients. The company has until June 17, 2014, to file a motion to dismiss the complaint. (Wood et al v. Nature’s Way Products, Inc., Nature’s Way Products, LLC, Schwabe, North America, Inc., and Nature’s Way Holding Company, LLC, Case No. 13-cv-6591, C. D. CA.).
