June 2014: A class-action lawsuit filed against Barlean’s Organic Oils over its marketing of “Barlean’s Omega Twin” was transferred from state court to federal court. The complaint, which was originally filed in May 2014, alleges that the company intentionally misrepresents that Barlean’s Omega Twin, a dietary supplement, contains both borage oil and gamma-linolelic acid (GLA) when the supplement actually does not contain either ingredient. (Hoffman et al v. Barlean’s Organic Oils, LLC., Case No. 14-cv-03770, D. N.J.).
