Allegations: Deceptively packaging boxes of Barilla pasta
March 2019: This case was transferred from a court in California to one in Illinois. (Case No. 19-cv-2237, N. D. IL.)
January 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Barilla for allegedly falsely marketing several varieties of its pasta sauce as containing “No Preservatives” when, according to the complaint, the sauces actually contain the preservative citric acid. (Bolden et al v. Barilla America, Inc., Case No. 19-cv-472, C. D. CA.)
