June 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Ancestry.com alleging that it misleadingly offers a free trial to access genealogical records without adequately disclosing that consumers who sign up for the free trial will be automatically enrolled in a monthly subscription resulting in consumers being charged without their consent.
